<li>Double click on layer to rename (I named my layer painting)</li>

<li>Select the text and adjust the size and colour to suit.</li>
<p><img src="http://www.tutorial-heaven.com/tutorials/watermark/watermark-color-picker.jpeg" alt="Color Picker in Photoshop" /></p>
<li>You can use the colour picker to select a suitable colour</li>

<li>While your text layer is still selected, select: <em><strong>Layer &gt; Layer Style &gt; Drop Shadow</strong></em>Change the default setting to 100% opacity and click <em><strong>OK</strong></em>. (see settings)</li>
<p><img src="http://www.tutorial-heaven.com/tutorials/watermark/watermark-transparency.jpeg" alt="Image Transparency settings Photoshop" /></p>
<li>Place your text where you want it to be and shrink the view of your image to simulate the screen size. Adjust the percentage of transparency to 75% (or what ever suits your image) Make sure you save the PSD at this stage so you have a high resolution large image for later use.</li>
<p><img src="http://www.tutorial-heaven.com/tutorials/watermark/watermark-alter-image-size.jpeg" alt="Change or alter image size in Photoshop" /></p>
<li>Now we will reduce the image to the size required on your web site. I will reduce this one to 450 pixels. To do this select: <em><strong>Image &gt; Image Size</strong></em> and type in 450 pixels.Make sure the box marked Constrain Proportions is checked so it doesn’t distort the image. Click <em><strong>OK</strong></em></li>
<p><img src="http://www.tutorial-heaven.com/tutorials/watermark/watermark-save-web-devices.jpeg" alt="Save for web devices Photoshop" /></p>
<li>Go to the menu and select: <em><strong>File &gt; Save For Web Devices. </strong></em></li>
<p><img src="http://www.tutorial-heaven.com/tutorials/watermark/watermark-web-device-settings.jpeg" alt="Web Device settings JPG Photoshop" /></p>
<li>Select JPG and set the quality at 80% (personal choice.) You can see the size of the file on the bottom left and this will adjust depending on the quality. If you need a smaller file then reduce the quality of the jpg. Select <em><strong>Save</strong></em> and brows to the folder you wish to save the image. Name the image leaving no gaps in the name and select <em><strong>Save</strong></em>. Now you have a large layered file that can be edited at any time and a flattened watermarked image for the web.<img src="http://www.tutorial-heaven.com/tutorials/watermark/watermark-how-delete-layer.jpeg" alt="How to delete an layer Photoshop" /></li>
<li>You can delete the first background layer if you with by dragging the layer down over the delete bin icon.</li>
